THE ROAD TO XÀTIVA

Xàtiva lies half way between the provincial capitals of Valencia and Alicante. Thanks to its convenient location in the centre of the Region of Valencia, close to towns such as Moixent, Ontinyent, Alcoi, Gandia and Denia, the city has excellent transport connections via the A-7.

For the Mediterranean highway A- 7 direction Alicante.
Approximate journey time : 48 minutes.

For the Mediterranean highway A- 7 direction Valencia.
Approximate journey time : 1 hour and 15 minutes.

On the eastern highway A-3 towards Alicante, join the A-35 towards Valencia. Approximate journey time : 3 hours 40 minutes

Connected through Northeast Highway A-2 .
Approximate journey time: 4 hours..

For the Mediterranean highway A- 7 direction Alicante.
Approximate journey time : 48 minutes.

For the Mediterranean highway A- 7 direction Valencia.
Approximate journey time : 1 hour and 15 minutes.

On the eastern highway A-3 towards Alicante, join the A-35 towards Valencia. Approximate journey time : 3 hours 40 minutes

Connected through Northeast Highway A-2 .

By train

The railway station is located close to the city centre on the Avenida Ausiàs March, just 10 minutes from the historic centre. The easiest way to get to Xàtiva from Valencia is by local train. RENFE through the line C -2 (Valencia Nord – Xàtiva – Moixent) has commuter trains in a nice way that crosses the regions of High Shore and Coast . Valencia trip – Xativa is 49 minutes, with a frequency of trains every 20 minutes.

Middle-distance trains stop at Xàtiva have as main destinations the cities of Valencia , Murcia, Cartagena , Alicante, Albacete , Ciudad Real, Teruel, Zaragoza and Huesca.

Xativa has many long-distance connections that unite mainly Madrid, Barcelona , Valencia, Seville, Malaga and Badajoz. These routes are covered primarily with Talgo trains. In addition, the Talgo Mare Nostrum links it to the south of France and Murcia.

The airport is 8 km from the centre of Valencia.
A metro service connects the airport and the city, and trains to the railway station run every 15 minutes. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

There is also the line 5 bus service; buses leave every 30 minutes and stop in the city centre very close to the RENFE train station in Valencia. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.

Alacant-Elx airport

The airport is 9 km from the centre of Alicante. The C-6 line bus service between the airport and the centre of Alicante leaves every 20 minutes and stops at the railway station.
